Author: Valerian D.

The skin often mirrors the health of the whole body. Healthy skin is an essential part of health and natural beauty. There are lots of things you can do to get healthy skin. Among other conditions, it happens when you eat good foods. With no doubt, certain foods are very beneficial to the skin.

  1. Garlic.
It has a rather strong odor due contained sulphur compounds. But sulphur compounds are beneficial to your skin. If you have problems with its particular smell, chew a bit of parsley afterwards. On the other hand, garlic acts as a natural antibiotic and cleanses the whole system. The conclusion is crystal clear, eat garlic as much as you can.

  2. Citrus fruits, berries, broccoli and all Vitamin C holders.
Vitamin C helps collagen formation which keeps the skin looking young and plump. The human body can neither make it or store it. The solution is to take it with foods. It can be found in Citrus fruits, berries such as strawberries and blueberries and vegetables such as broccoli.

  3. Carrots.
Carrots are a great source of vitamin A. This vitamin is absorbed into the skin and can protect it against the sun's UV rays. Take care, excess of vitamin A is toxic to the body.

  4. Dark leafy green vegetables.
They are a good source of iron and zinc. Iron helps your skin to get enough oxygen and zinc helps you to fight pimples. Spinach is the most representative. Eat spinach every day or include some in a fresh juice.

  5. Parsley.
Parsley deserves a separate mention. It is rich in just about all you need for a healthy skin: vitamin A, chlorophyll, vitamin B12, folic acid, vitamin C and iron. It is great for fresh breath too. Parsley can be easily added to your menu. Jus put it in juices, sprinkle over any savory dish or simply chewed by itself.
